PROGRAM (highlights)

Day 1: Arrival and transfer with airport shuttle from the airport in Bologna. Reception at the hotel in Bologna with a welcome drink and snacks. Presentation by Hans about the gastronomy and wines of the region. In the evening you have a gastronomic dinner in one of the best traditional restaurants in the city center.

Day 2: In the morning transfer to Modena for a visit to a historic acetaia (company where the famous balsamic vinegar is made). Lunch in a traditional restaurant in the center of Modena where we can enjoy the typical modenese cuisine followed by a guided tour in the center under the guidance of Stefania. Return to Bologna where the evening is free to spend.

Day 3: In the morning guided tour in the historic center of Bologna under the guidance of Stefania (visit of the main squares, complex of Santo Stefano,  anatomical theatre of the “Archiginnasio” palace and so on). We will enjoy authentic Bolognesi dishes at lunch. The afternoon is at leisure. In the evening we have a gastronomic dinner in a top restaurant.

Day 4: Transfer with airport shuttle to Bologna airport.

Day 3: In the morning a visit to a historic acetaia (company where the famous balsamic vinegar is made) with lunch. In the afternoon guided tour in the center of Modena. The evening is at leisure.

Day 4: In the morning visit of a Lambrusco wine company. Cellar and museum visit and a tasting with light lunch in the winery. Then transfer to hotel in Bologna. City walk in Bologna followed by a gastronomic dinner in one of the best traditional restaurants in the city center.

Day 5: In the morning guided tour in the historic center of Bologna under the guidance of Stefania (visit of the main squares, complex of Santo Stefano, anatomical theatre of the “Archiginnasio” palace and so on).
